Hi guys,
this is the second serial cam that I have bought from your distributor. Before to use, I prefer to test the video signal out from camera. When i plug on TV using a CVBS connector.
The strange thing is that there is an horizontal black line on the screen

Re: Serial TTL Camera VC0706 black horizontal line
Hi guys,
this is the second serial cam TTL VC0706 that I have bought from your distributor. Before to use it, I prefer to test the video signal out of the camera. When i plug the camera on TV using a CVBS connector i get a strange horizontal black line on the screen. (see image).
It seems that image is shifted 5-7 centimeters up.
How can I fix that?
Thanks,
Andrea

Re: Serial TTL Camera VC0706 black horizontal line
The black band is the camera's 'vertical blanking interval'.. something that dates back to the days when TVs had cathode ray tubes and electron beams driven by magnets. It took time for the magnets to move the beam from the bottom of the screen back to the top of the screen and start the next frame to be displayed on the screen. The VBI gave the TV time to do that.
For some reason, your TV is reading the frame data starting at a point somewhere within the frame. Check your TV to see if it has a vertical adjustment anywhere, and see if that does any good.

Re: Serial TTL Camera VC0706 black horizontal line
umm my TV is an LCD. However I've tested with different TVs (all LCD).
on second TV: black horizontal line is missing, but image flicker a lot.
on third TV: image is OK but there is some noise.
The strange thing is that on other TTL Cam (the same model) there is no problem.
I'm using a coaxial cable 10 meters long. i don't have any other cables now...

It sounds like the camera is producing a weak signal. Let's get you a replacement.
