How to use A0 of Adafruit USB Power Gauge Mini-Kit?

Post by yehnan »

I bought Adafruit USB Power Gauge Mini-Kit - ID: 1549
http://www.adafruit.com/products/1549

What functions of the pins A0, Clk, SI and Rst?

On the breakout board, it prints "A0:1V/A out", what does it mean?

Thanks.

I don't have one handy to check at the moment, but i believe it is the voltage across the 0.1 ohm sense resistor which would be 0.1v per amp of current.

Yes, that's right. Thanks.

Then what are Clk, SI and Rst?
Rst is Reset? Clk and SI are SPI's CLK and MOSI?

The schematic is here:

RST, SI(MOSI), SCK are brought out from the ATtiny85.

"A0:1V/A out" means: A0 pin has 1V per Amperage draw, its a way of measuring current with an external meter or similar

the 6 pins are used for re-programming the chip if you want to!
