Mic Amp

Post by edorphy »

Hello,
I got my Mic Amp a week or so ago and finally had a chance to hook it up. It appears to be DOA. I have tried the sample code with both a 3.3v and 5v supply on my mega.

It appears that the trimming pot is the only thing that will influence the output. I was getting values between 500 and 800 with my arduino adc depending on the turn of the gain pot. Note: these values were constant and completely unresponsive to loud sounds.

I had intended to mic up my bass drum and show concept to a couple of local bands. All other adafruit products I've bought have been as advertised. Could I have just gotten a bad one?

As a side note the Bluefruit bluetooth module is spectacular!

It's possible that you got a dead one, but we test all our boards before clearing them for sale.

Post a photo of how you have it connected and we'll see if that tells us anything.
