I recently bought some pogo pins, in the hopes of being able to stick them into an IDC cable for loading firmware via JTAG, which was a use that was specifically suggested by the description, and also ordered some 0.1" IDC cables from adafruit.
The pins are too pig to fit in the holes of the cable header, no matter how hard I try, so I'm not sure if I ordered the right thing. because unless there's some special technique for putting them in, these pins are definitely not going into the cable.
An IDC cable to use with pogo pins for JTAG programming?

Hmm.. I'll have someone pull a bag of pins and a cable to see if they fit as they should.

you have to grip the bottom with pliers and 'pop' them in, they don't slip in 'easy'
