I'm sure the team working on a tutorial, but writing the documentation can be tougher than getting the hardware to work. ;-)

Keep an eye on the Adafruit blog for an announcement when it's ready to go.

Hello Mike,

It would be nice if we can program our own keys, say i buy button from adafruit then I can assign each physical button to a key.
It seems like everything is currently being done on serial monitor and interfacing with other hardware is limited?

correct me if i am wrong

thank you

You need some kind of serial/UART connection to send information to the chip, yes.

The chip doesn't know anything about buttons, and a button isn't expressive enough to create the kinds of signals the chip needs. As with any other cell phone, you'll need a separate circuit to handle the user interface and translate button presses to signals the chip can use.
