PowerBoost 500 Charger :USB 500 mAh?

Post by heng »

HI
Would like to try the PowerBoost 500 Charger but I am not sure about some specs, seems confusing:
1) Can the PowerBoost 500 Charger CHARGE a Lipo at 500mAh from a USB? or does it need a extra powersupply to reach the 500mAh? I really want to only use USB at 500mAh.
2) If it does pull 500 mAh from USB (not powersupply) , is it possible to do this without a battery connected? so I can use the 500mAh to power a device.
thanks

1) It will charge at 500mA
2) No. The charging circuit is not connected to the output circuit, except through the battery.
