Hi there, I am new to this whole circuitry and coding world, so please answer in a "for dummies" version for me:)
To start, what is the difference between a momentary pushbutton, and an on/off pushbutton?
Most importantly, how is it possible to connect the pushbuttons to the breadboard/arduino? I have heard of using screw terminals but I do not understand how they work..
Thank you very much, any help is greatly appreciated as I am trying to get into these projects and such.

Re: Pushbutton Question
on/off buttons are push/release button is on push/release again button is off. Momentary is on when pushed off when not.To start, what is the difference between a momentary pushbutton, and an on/off pushbutton?
some buttons are "breadboard friendly" and have spacing that matches 0.1 spaces on the breadboard for others you solder wires to the switch and stick the other end into the breadboard. Most importantly, how is it possible to connect the pushbuttons to the breadboard/arduino?

What about when it says "latching on/off switch"?franklin97355 wrote:some buttons are "breadboard friendly" and have spacing that matches 0.1 spaces on the breadboard for others you solder wires to the switch and stick the other end into the breadboard.

how would i connect that to a breadboard, since it looks like the wires need to clip on somehow...?

Re: Pushbutton Question
The switch has press-fit lugs like the ones that are used in automobile wiring.
To connect the switch to a breadboard, you'd need to make jumpers with connectors on one end that will fit the switch. If you make them from 22 gauge wire, you can plug the other end directly into a breadboard.
