Dead HDMI 4 Pi - 7" Display 1280x800 (720p) IPS ?

Post by strangiato »

Hello all,

Last night I unplugged my 7" monitor (bought end of Jan 2014) and when I plugged it back it appeared dead.

The blue light turns on but nothing appears on the screen. No amount of button pushing or power cycling can turn the blue light off or show something on the panel.

Is there a way to reset or otherwise save this lovely monitor or am I now stuck with a dead device ?

Thanks
Donald

Can you try it with a different HDMI source? Also try a different HDMI cable.

Well, even with no input connected, I can't get the monitor to show anything (it used to show solid blue). The menu doesn't show up, neither do the switch or power buttons seem to do anything.

How long is the warranty on these things? Show I ask for a RMA?

Our replacement warranty is for 30 days. Sorry.

Can you try a different power supply? What kind of power supply are you using?

Can you try it with different HDMI sources, also VGA or NTSC inputs. Try different cables, too.

Also check for loose or broken wires.
