Mechanical drawing or connector information needed

Post by andershedberg »

Hi, I have bought the 4 wire waterproof connector ( https://www.adafruit.com/products/744 ) but need to find the connectors without any cable for mounting in a box. Where can I find a mechanical drawing or even better a part-number of the connectors from some well known manufacturer? I'm doing something like 100 boxes...

You need a panel-mount that will attach to the wall of the box? Then you probably don't want exactly the same connectors that are on that cable.
I started a search at digikey - there's a wide selection of 4-conductor waterproof interconnects:

Thanks for the link, I was hoping there was a mechanical drawing so I could find something similar that would fit.

We have used your cable in ~20 units in the field and need connectors but also protection caps for the cables that are not connected. Something like this - http://www.digikey.com/product-search/e ... 20circular

We don't have any other part # or mechanical drawings - so we don't know the part number or have any caps. So far we've only used them as pairs (as sold)
If you find something that works please let us know, we'll update the documentation we have!

I'm interested in knowing this too. If you don't find part #, any cap with same dia and threading + o-ring/gasket should work right?

Molex has sealed connectors for bulkhead mounting in many form factors.
