PowerBoost 500C Undervoltage Protection

Post by cgr811 »

I am interested in the PowerBoost 500 (ID 1944). I am building a emergency cell phone charger with a few 3.7v lithium ion cells in parallel. I understand that it is harmful to discharge the batteries past ~2.6v. I know this product has a low battery light, but is there any protection circuitry to stop output preventing the lithium ion cells from being completely drained?

Li Ion cells should come with a control board built into the battery pack to protect the battery from over / under voltage.
