Uzebox Soldering

i bought the uzebox a few days ago. i started soldering it and eventually got to the point where i was supposed to test the connection with a multimeter and it was 4.95DC. i later on got to the point where i was supposed plug the audio cable into the tv and wait for the "uzebox logo bell sound" i heard either nothing or static. i have no idea what i did wrong. the tv works and is somewhat new. if anyone could tell me what i did wrong id greatly appreciate it.
