Can I use USB Tiny to program a 328 running at 3.3v?

Post by cappy2112 »

The chips I need to program are ATMega 328's running at 3.3v & 8Mhz.
Can I use USB Tiny to program booloaders if the target chips are running at 3.3v?

thanks

It should. If your 328s already have their own 3.3v power and 8 MHz clock, just remove the EXT PWR jumper (J3, in the opening next to the ISP cables), and the external supply will power the '125 on the USBTiny. I say should, because I've heard of it done, I've just never done it myself.
