usbtinyisp draws too much USB power

Post by rsmoz »

I've checked through the board, thoroughly, a few times–and can't find any shorts. The chips aren't backwards. When I plug it into a computer, either immediately or 10 seconds later, I get a warning that the device is drawing too much power. I might be missing something.

1. Using it from the kit
2. OS X Lion on a Mac Pro
3. Using Arduino.app to burn the program to an Arduino w/o a boot loader. Tried to use AVR dude to program an attiny85 and it won't even see the programmer.
4. At no point have I seen the programmer work; no LEDs come on at any time. Nada.
5.

6. Can't seem to be able to upload any photos of my board...

You should be able to upload photos using the "Upload attachment" tab below the message edit box. If the are large photos, you may need to re-size them. 800x600 should work.
