I have a USBtinyISP that I assembled from a kit. The programmer works great for an atmega328 but I am not able to initialize an atmega32 mcu. I get the following error when I try to check the fuse (or upload a hex file).
The set up looks like the following:
atmega32 pins:
Do I have a bad mcu? Again, it works just fine with an atmega328 but I can't initialize the atmega32. I've tried powering the mcu with the programmer and also from an external source, both result in the same error shown above.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
USBtinyISP works for atmega328 but not atmega32

Re: USBtinyISP works for atmega328 but not atmega32
if it works with a 328 and not with something else, its a wiring problem of some sort on your protoboard, not the programmer
