No green light, not recognized by computer

Post by dhgoldberg »

Hi there,

Basic Info: This is a USBTinyISP from a kit. I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 on a Lenovo 3000 V200. This is my first time trying to talk with the programmer (it has never worked before).

Problem: Green light never turns on, never shows up when listing attached usb devices, can't contact via avrdude.

I'm pretty sure everything is attached as it should be, but pictures are attached for verification.

Thanks!

Assembly looks OK. Try a different USB cable. And try a different COM port too.

It is possible you got a bad chip. Contact [email protected] for a replacement USBTinyISP processor. Include a link to this thread.
