very new to this. need help!

Post by tinah1 »

Okay this is my first time doing an electronics project on my own. I bought the spokepov kit (just yellow) and the usbtinyisp kit. ive soldered everything respectively. but i am currently downloading the software in order to program what image i want to be displayed. as that is downloading, i was wondering how to connect the usbtinyisp to my computer. can i even do this on my laptop? do i use a standard A-B USB cable? bc ive looked at other threads and some use the parallel port dongle thing instead. im just very new to all of this.

so pretty much...
- download and install software
- use a usb cable to fit the USB type B male jack of the usbtinyisp dongle
- upload image to the software and then all four banks?

is this how its supposed to be done?

thanks for any sort of help!!
