Premade ISP to MC dongle for 40pin? rc=-1 problems

Post by wespalladini »

So I recently made a Tiny ISP and can't get it to work with my ATMEGA324P (getting the rc=-1 error) . I am thinking the crappy dongle I made is the reason why. I also don't like it aesthetically. Are there any premade 6 pin to 40 pin chip breadboards out there that I can buy?

Also do I need the 2 pin jumper bridged when I am programming chips? So far I have always had it off but not sure when to bridge the pins.
