Burnt tracks on USBtinyISP v2 pcb - help!

Post by eoinbrazil »

I'm a newbie and I'm not sure about the schematic for the USBtinyISP, I had to reset LED2 on the pcb and I burnt the tracks without realising it.

Does anyone have a close up view of the v2 USBtinyISP board bottom showing the tracks ? Or can someone explain where the tracks for LED2 go on the PCB as I want to try and fix it rather than throwing the board away.

I got my usbtiny today. It won't work; can't find anything wrong with the circuit.

I thought it was the LED2 for a minute... but then i noticed the track on the top side of the board.

Thanks,

Here is an PNG of the schematic:

And of the board:

I'm off to see if I can't fix the problem of the burnt tracks.

I'm leaving these images off Flickr as I don't know how you want to treat them - if you want you can download them and tell me to remove them, unless I hear otherwise I'll just leave them be.

I was looking at board traces, and noticed that the buffer IC was connected to the USB power trace, rather than the main Vcc power. Wasn't that buffer supposed to be powered off the USB power supply all the time?
