Hi,
Does someone know what other possibilities does this error is? I've already looked on the net and fine nothing of help. I am running this on Ubuntu 9.10 and arduino IDE 0017, I also used arduino 0018 and it still result in the error. I've checked my usb and it seem to work but when I upload the the file, it doesn't respond

the arduino doesnt use a PL2303 so you must be doing something unusual!

Hi,
How can I resolve this? Can you give some detailed information?

what is the "pl2303" device? are you plugging in other USB devices? do you have a photo of your setup?

Sorry but I don't know pl2303. I Just plug it in the USB port of my computer. Do you think that is the issue?

Re: avrdude stk500_recv programmer is not responding
If your computer is identifying the Arduino usb/serial device as a pl2303, then it will be using the wrong driver to talk to it and it will not respond.
Either your computer is mis-identifying the arduino device, or you have some other pl2303-based device connected and it is not seeing the arduino at all.
A picture of your setup would help.

That's an important detail you didn't mention before. I can't tell what kind of clone that is from the photo. But your best bet for support is the place that you got it.arduino clone

(pt from adafruit support here) - dwhitekiss, as arduwino said, that's a really important detail you didn't mention before - and very deceptive on your part. we cannot support a cloned arduino, please contact the seller/maker.dwhitekiss wrote:The arduino clone
on a personal note - it's not fair to our customers and customers who bought official arduinos when you do things like this, i'm a little disappointed and hope you do not do this again or to others.
you posted in our arduino starter pack forum without revealing you didn't get a starter pack from us, you've only posted 5 times (all of these posts) - you're taking away value, not providing - we don't mind helping anyone, please think about the ecosystem of open source hardware and our business when you take away time from our customers.
i'm locking the thread, feel free to email me if you'd like to discuss this any further [email protected]
