Arduino Uno R3 Not Recognized

Post by johnh1 »

I just received the arduino uno R3. After following the initial tutorial the device is not recognized. I'm using Windows XP. There are no ports listed in the device manager. There is a solid green light and blinking yellow (L). Could there be something wrong with the device?

Are there any unknown/unrecognized devices in the device manager? Watch in the Device Manager and see if any devices come & go when you plug/unplug the USB cable.

This has been resolved. I remove all unrecognized devices the I was able to see an recognized usb device. I then was able to point to the 'drivers' folder rather than the FTDI USB Drivers folder.

Thanks for the quick and helpful response!!!
