THM(Thru hole) verses "Normal" Arduino

Post by OldDog »

Arduino Starter Kits list the Arduino as a THM (thru hole) while the stand alone Arduino does not. What is the difference? Could be interpeted that the Arduino board itself does not have connection headers - only thru holes.

The Arduino UNO comes in both through-hole (socketed 28-pin DIP package) and an SMT version. Most people prefer the flexibility of the socketed through-hole version, so they are the only ones we are stocking now.
