Hello,
I just purchased some LCD displays from the MakerShed and the ID returned back is 37669, not 30069 like the ones I purchase from Adafruit. Is this a software library issue?

There are several variations on the controller built into these displays. The library queries the controller ID and uses the appropriate protocol for the controller type detected.
