Fingerprint reader again!

Postby ABadDream » Mon Oct 29, 2012 2:41 pm

Hi everyone

I bought a fingerprint reader a while ago for a proyect, but as far as I can see, it's very difficult to achieve.

The thing is, having this reader to get images and set them up outside its flash memory. For example, a server or SD card. In the SFGDemo software there are options to see the image read and store it, or to get images from BMP file and handle them with the reader.

So my question is, does anyone have a clue on how to do this?

Meanwhile, I am still trying to get those options from the reader.

This customer has found that Google Chrome does a good job of translating the Chinese data sheet:

I took the liberty of saving the Google translation of the datasheet to a pdf. It's available on github in the documentation folder of the Adafruit Fingerprint Sensor Library.

Thanks a lot!

I would try to have the fingerprint reader working with the datasheet mentioned above.

Just for the record, I sent an email to the manufacturer in China asking for a datasheet in english, there's no answer yet(hope some day they will).

Very good news fellas

I wrote an email to Zhiantec asking for a datasheet in english, and they have just sent it. who should I address this document to? As it should be added to the fingerprint documentation?

Thanks! I guess enough people asked, so they decided to translate it. You can send that to support@adafruit.com and we'll add it to our documentation links.

Email sent.

Now it is more understandable, and should provide some light to users.
