IR remote not working

Postby wdickenson » Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:49 pm

I have just hooked up the IR sensor to my Uno and I am using the mini-remote.

When I use the examples in the adafruit library, i get a "Data error" and a repeat when it's the same key.

When I run the example from arduino cookbook, I see a ton of data. But the example for this remote seems to give me errors when running.

What am I doing wrong ? Code is the code in the github.

Thanks

Still not working -

I went back and deleted the libraries and picked up a new version of the code. I will likely try to uncomment the Serial.println functions from the library (although that is new for me).

it senses the end of the key press, it knows that it received a duplicate code, but it just is not translating the code.

Any other thoughts ?

btw: as long as I am in the asking mode, I was planning on putting this in an interrupt on pin 3. Any issues with that ?

Thanks for your help. I will take all the suggestions I can get.

I went back and pulled the original IR code and the Arduino cookbook code and it all seems to work. I'm not sure why the library code did not but I've got what I needed. Thanks
