So I am new to arduino and bought the micro from Radio shack and I seem to be missing something. I dl'ed the arduino software then wrote the blinking led sketch and then tried to uplaod it. This is the error I got:
avrdude: error: buffered memory access not supported. Maybe it isn't
a butterfly/AVR109 but a AVR910 device?
Also I noticed that the micro shows up in my device manager as an arduino micro then a second later it shows up as an usb io board. So what am I missing here?

Re: Aduino micro
What OS are you running? And what version of the Arduino IDE?

Re: Aduino micro
The IDE (Integrated Development Environment) is the Arduino software package. I asked because the Micro & Leonardo were not supported in earlier versions.
Anyhow. Great that it's working now.
