I'm looking to attach an Ultimate GPS breakout board (ID 746) to an assembled data logging shield (ID 1141). Does anyone know if the physical space remaining on the data logging shield is large enough to hold the GPS breakout without hanging over the edge too much? I'd like to attach it directly to the shield using headers but I'm concerned it will be subject to damage if it hangs out too much.

Yes. It will cover the entire prototyping area, but there are a few ways you can position it with little to no overhang from the shield.
