Hi,
I have seen from other posts that the Adafruit Ultimate GPS Breakout, item ID 746, can be powered from the Arduino Due 3.3 v line. My question is, will a logic level converter be required to connect the GPS device to the Due? In other words is the output of the Adafruit Ultimate GPS Breakout 5v irrespective of the supply voltage.

Just the opposite actually: It can survive being connected to a 5v supply or devices that provide 5v signals at the inputs, but it's a 3.3v device at heart. There's no charge pump that would boost the 3.3v supply to produce 5v at the outputs.

The reason for my initial post is the following from the Arduino description:
Warning: Unlike other Arduino boards, the Arduino Due board runs at 3.3V. The maximum voltage that the I/O pins can tolerate is 3.3V. Providing higher voltages, like 5V to an I/O pin could damage the board.
I have been unable to find out what voltage is presented by the Ultimate GPS Breakout, so I was trying to ensure that Due would not be damaged by an unexpected high voltage.

Good call. It's always easier to ask for information than to replace a fried device.
In this case, the Due and the GPS module should coexist happily at 3.3v.
