no ss for icsp connections and sd breakout

Post by wlab »

i wired sd breakout to micro as...
--- micro micro
sd icsp pins
-- ------ ------
v5 v5
gnd gnd
do - miso
clk - sck
di - mosi
cs - no place on icsp to connect.
i researched and indicated that ss is mapped to rx led/ss micro pin.
I hesitate to try and would like to ask someone with experience in this area.
thanks

You're going to need to slow down and add the words that have meaning for people who aren't at your workbench or inside your personal head. Right now you're posting the kind of notes that I jot down during a 3am debugging session then can't understand when I wake up the next day. ;-)

http://www.ladyada.net/products/microsd/

That shows connections to a basic Arduino, but the pins will be the same on the Micro.

it didnt work, i wired the breakout to 10 to 13 on the micro and tried running the cardinfo sketch from the tutorial.

the cardinfo sketch say..
** Leonardo: Connect to hardware SPI via the ICSP header
Pin 4 used here for consistency with other Arduino examples

i wired the breakout to 10 to 13 on an UNO and cardinfo sketch worked ok.

What do you suggest
