@igor - I think you're going to need a replacement, too.
You're in Tallinn? Where did you buy your CC3000?

Hi,

It was ordered from your main online shop and delivered to my friend's US address. Order number is 339415. Would you like to get my faulty shield back or it is enough if I will record the confirmation video with faulty shield for you (like some companies require)?

Regards,
Igor

Thank you, Rick, for your help! I contacted support and they sent me new shield.
However I re-checked my old shield and disabled DEBUG mode and now the shield seems to be working again. Probably issue is caused by DEBUG mode too. I will monitor the shield for a while and if it will continue working, I would like to send you money for new shield. :)

Thanks, Igor. And it's good to know that debug mode causes problems.

Hello,

We have the same problem than igor.bljahhin :

On the shield with the buildtest program in debug mode, the serial monitor says :
Hello, CC3000!

RX Buffer : 131 bytes
TX Buffer : 131 bytes
Free RAM: 1261

Initialising the CC3000 ...
CC3000: init_spi
CC3000: Finished init_spi
init
start
CC3000: SpiOpen CC3000: WlanInterruptEnable.
CC3000: Finished SpiOpen
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: WriteWlanPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin - 001
CC3000: ReadWlanInterruptPin -

Without the debug mode, the programm is stuck at :
Hello, CC3000!

RX Buffer : 131 bytes
TX Buffer : 131 bytes
Free RAM: 1261

Initialising the CC3000 ...
I have rechecked the soldering, and haven't modified the code of "buildtest" exepted the SSID/PASS lines, but this is not the problem since the program doesn't go there.
I don't now if there are other tests to perform that could give me a clue on what doesn't work.

Thank you for your help. Philippe

@anome Could you post clear pictures of both sides your board and the connections to it?

Hello,

It is an CC3000 Arduino Shield, so no special connection to be made. Please find below 3 photos :

It's a little difficult to see in the first picture, but your solders look rather blobby. That means that the solder hasn't flowed well onto the pads. You should reheat all of your solder joints, making sure to heat the pad so that the solder flows smoothly onto it.

A good solder joint has a concave section, like this:

Your solders are more convex.

@adafruit_support_rick : we redid our solders and checked them with a multimeter. Everything is fine.

So the CC3000 works now? Or are you still having a problem?

Hello @adafruit_support_rick,

Sorry, I was not very explicit.
The solders are good and tested, but the CC3000 still does not work.

Thank you for your help. Philippe

Hello. I've recently bought a cc3000 breakout module. It is working fine and smooth but after a couple of days, it doesn't work anymore. I have the same problem as them. I've replaced the connectors, resolder the pins, check it with a multimeter tester with every connection fine but still it doesn't work. Please help.
