@square002: Please post clear, detailed pictures of both sides of the module, showing your soldering.

Re: cc3000 stopped working?
I uploaded a buildtest sketch into the arduino mega. Wired it based on the tutorial here: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-cc3 ... 0-breakout
with the debug mode set to 1. I also downloaded a new cc3000 library here just 2 days ago: https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_CC ... master.zip
Here is my Serial monitor in debug mode:

OK, let's start at the beginning. Could you post clear pictures of your board and the connections to it? Could you explain what is not working? Have you tried powering the circuit with a power supply or powered hub?square002 wrote: I have the same problem as them.

Re: cc3000 stopped working?
As I've said earlier, I followed the wirings from your tutorial of cc3000 and of course the wiring for mega of cc3000. Here is the connections:
At first, I'm powering the Arduino board using three 9V alkaline battery. As you can see, the module above is not soldered for using it in the breadboard because the module is a part of a prototype indoor navigation device. These device include maxbotix hrlv-ez4, ultimate gps module, 10-dof IMU module, all comes from adafruit. When the device stopped working, I started troubleshooting the modules one by one and I found out that the cc3000 is where the fault is. I also tried powering the arduino mega using a 9v 350ma wall adaptor because the battery I'm using is not rechargeable.

Re: cc3000 stopped working?
You need to solder the wires to the CC3000. Just pushing them through the holes will not work.

Re: cc3000 stopped working?
No. I'm using headers soldered on the module. Actually, I resoldered the headers 4 times already on the module. Refer to my earlier posts for pictures of the module.

Sorry, I saw this and jumped to conclusions

Re: cc3000 stopped working?
It's okay mr. Franklin. That module is not connected on the breadboard. I soldered the headers upward because I'm using female-to-male jumpers for my project.

Re: cc3000 stopped working?
Hi,
I am experiencing something similar except with mbed Nucleo Boards.
It was working perfectly for few days and suddenly it stopped working.
Checked all my pins and wires.
Tested programs that were successfully running.
It does not connect to the wifi.

Re: cc3000 stopped working?
What does it do with our buildtest example sketch?
Do you have a regular Arduino you can test it with?

Re: cc3000 stopped working?
Hi thank you for the reply.
It would take a bit of time. I don't have an Arduino rigt now. I apologise for asking it here, I thought it was more about cc3000.
I tested the module step by step on mbed and it go through the AP but it couldn't set the IP address. It tries to set the dtcp but no luck. Even with a static ip.
I would try on Arduino as soon as I get one.
Thanks.

Do you have MAC address filtering turned on in the router?

Re: cc3000 stopped working?
Hi Rick,
I bought another cc3000 breakout board and it works perfectly without changing anything. However, I have no idea how I managed to damage the previous cc3000 in the first place. Could dragging the current for the cc3000 from the development board damage the module? Because that the only thing I was doing wrong. I was using max 300mA USB power to boost mini 300mA cc3000.
