iBeacon with Bluefruit EZ-Key

by peenaki on Tue Feb 18, 2014 6:27 pm

Has anyone tried to make an iBeacon with the Bluefruit EZ-Key?

Any luck? Any thoughts on what pitfalls there might be? Right now i'm looking for lower power consumption options for creating an ibeacon with that would have more flexibility than something like an estimote, but without the power requirements of a raspberry pi (and the requirement of a power socket).

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think the EZ-Key has an interface that would allow you to add MSD to its advertising packet.
When you void a product warranty, you give up your right to sue the manufacturer if something goes wrong and accept full responsibility for whatever happens next. And then you truly own the product.
