Bluefruit EZ-Link with 3.3 volts

Post by scott216 »

Can I use the Bluefruit EZ-Link with 3.3 volt Arduino devices, like the Pro-Mini.

Yep. It's actually a 3.3v device but we added a voltage regulator and level shifters to make it work with 5v devices too. It can accept any supply voltage between 3v and 16v, and the iO works at both 3.3v and 5v levels.

I had the same question, because the silkscreen spec's Vin from 3.5-16V.

The voltage regulator can accept supply voltages from 3.5v to 16v, but it produces a 3.3v rail to power the EZ-Link itself.
