I am thinking about building a waterproof speakerbox and I am looking at using the TPA2016 as the amp. One thing that I am unsure about is pairing speakers with the AMP. I have found some small 8 Watt waterproof speakers here:

Will the amp's 2.8 watt output and speakers 8 watt mismatch be an issue? I read somewhere that the Amp should have 50% more power than the speakers.

Those speakers should work fine. Not sure where the 50% recommendation comes from. At higher power levels, an under-powered amplifier driven to the point of clipping can damage tweeters. But with those drivers and power levels it should not be an issue.
