Electret Microphone Amplifier -- hack for headset mic amp?

Post by vantojo99 »

I'm looking for a small amp to boost my computer headset mic to line level

I was thinking that one of your Electret Microphone Amplifier might work...if I could unsolder the integrated mic and solder in an adapter that would receive the plug from the headset mic, probably I would have to provide 5 volts to the adapter also

Better yet...I'm sure others might want something similar....why don't you make a solution??

because the computer headset mics must be powered, I believe,. by 5 volts and also they cannot be used for line level input into anything...for example, I want to input my headset mic into a Rolls Stereo Line Mixer (www.rolls.com) but that mixer requires line level input.

Thanks.
