TV-B-Gone with 5 volts

Post by abqlewis »

If I power the TV-B-Gone with 5 volts instead of the 3 volts from the two AA's, I know the ATtiny will be OK, but do I need some sort of current limiting resistors for the LEDs? I've read about people using 3 (and 4) AA's, but no talk about circuit changes.

From my understanding it should be *ok* ask the board and i have it in front of me shows by the battery connection, "3-5V" so from my understanding it will take anywere from 3-5 volts as is. an this is on the adafruit board. If anyone from adafruit or Mitch from TV-B-Gone know something thats i don't, feel free to correct me.

The design notes say:
"Its important that the power supply voltage be between 2.5V and 5.5V."

5 volts will be fine I'm sure
