Hi, I'm making tv-b-gone with more leds and I was wondering why there aren't any resistors? IR Leds work on 1.2v and 100mA as i know.

I missed this part somehow "One reason is that this lets the LED cool off. IR LEDs can take up to 1 Amp (1000 milliamps!) of current. Most LEDs only take 20mA or so."adafruit wrote:http://www.ladyada.net/make/tvbgone/design.html
