hacking the IR module for different uses?

Post by syntacticsweets »

Hey, I've got a few projects in mind that I'd like to use IR on, and it would seem that I may be able to leverage this kit to get what I need. Are there any projects out there where people have hacked this kit to do different things with IR, like send a different kind of IR signal, send it only on an external sensor reading, etc?

Well, the projects I was thinking of working with would benefit from a small form factor battery powered device, which (most) arduinos are not...

I've modified the TV-B-Gone kit to act as a start/finishline IR transmitter for a timing system. Easy-peasy.
