So my friends 15th birthday is coming up, and she is a huge doctor who fan. I have all kinds of awesome stuff planned, and I can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees the finished product. I need lots and lots of help. I got the necessary parts count down to five including the sonic screwdriver, and I realized, I was looking at the schematics for a v1.1, when I want to give them all the projector codes of a 1.2. I poked around in the code, and I was wondering if people could give me help on modifying and compiling the code as well as letting me know if the parts I have chosen will do. Her birthday is coming up on the 13th, and I still have to order parts. Yikes. I need to keep the price as low as possible, preferably without modifying my parts, if they will work. Right now the cost is $33 and I'm having two other friends pitch in money to help. Here are the parts I plan on purchasing, please tell me if they will work, and if we can modify the v1.2 code to work with v1.1 hardware:
Sonic Screwdriver:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009P ... QML4KT1OIF
LED amplifier:https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10732
Attiny:http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/e ... 71?cur=USD
Capacitor:http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/e ... 45?cur=USD
Oscillator:http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/e ... -ND/124508
I want to make one other modification, and I realize it will require hardware and probably software modification. I want the microcontroller to remain on only when the button is pressed, and as soon as the tv turns off, they can release the button. If possible, I would appreciate help such as circuit diagrams and instructions. Please help ASAP as I need to order parts before the end of this week.
Many Thanks,
-Furrysalamander
PS: I have these codes:http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/co ... projector/, which I believe are the ones for the projectors at my school. Any chance I can add these?

I just today have been looking for something to convert or use to be able to do the exact same thing! It would be amazing to have this in a sonic screwdriver. I was wondering how yours turned out? Did any of the alterations work? and did you manage to program it with the extra codes? And and all help would be appreciated!
