3.7v Li-on

Post by patito »

I built the v1.2 kit using the AA battery holder included and it worked fine. I found the battery cumbersome, though.
Following this from the tutorial page, "Do not use 9V batteries or more than 3 1.5V alkaline batteries, you can permanently damage the kit!" I make 4.5v the max. power, so I put in a 1300mAh 3.7v Li-on battery instead. Now the green LED lights up and flashes, but I get no output from the front LEDs (confirmed using video test). Any idea what could be wrong?

Thanks,
Doug

Don't see why that wouldn't work. Does it still work if you swap back to the 3v AA pack?

If it says on the testing page that you cannot use your mobile's video to test the tv-b-gone is working or not, then I oversaw it. In any case my iPone 5 doesn't show either working.
That's when I remembered that I had used my little usb keychain HD vidcam to initially confirm that the unit functioned. So, false alarm; it works with both battery solutions.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
