I've never gotten the codes for a B&O. I heard from someone that the carrier frequency is 160KHz. If that is true, then I'm not sure how well our hardware will work at that rate. But it is certainly worth a try. One way to get the code would be to go to a store that sells B&O TVs and bring along a learning universal remote control. This is something I've been meaning to do, but just haven't made the time to do it yet.

B&O is 455 kHz. The IR receivers in their equipment use 455 kHz ceramic filters - the same part used in the IF stage of an AM radio. They are very sensitive and quite selective (high Q).
The code is very unique. It uses three times to send the data bits rather than the usual two. There is a "one" and a "zero" as expected, and also a "same as last" code. The protocol prohibits sending consecutive ones or zeroes. There is also a start and stop time. Most codes are 17 bits. This IR coding has been in use wolrdwide since 1986.
Time intervals (from B&O docs):
T1 - 3.125 mS - Zero
T2 - 6.250 mS - Same as last
T3 - 9.375 mS - One
T4 - 12.500 mS - Stop
T5 - 15.625 mS - Start
The video power toggle code is (one uS unit of measure):

I have several B&O remotes - Beo4 (Mk1 & Mk3), Beolink 1000, A9, MCP5500. All the unidirectional remotes use the same IR codes. The bidirectional remotes are all different to some degree. I don't think there where any TVs with bidirectional remotes, so the code posted above should work will all B&O TVs from 1986 to present.
