Hi,

Just finished building mine (I'm new at all this) and it stays on for me too. I checked the solder points and they all seem fine. The unit stayed hot (at the LEDs) with the batteries dead over night.

What could cause this? Do I have a defective product?

does this happen -every time- or is it "once in a while"
are you using good batteries?

Sorry, it's okay now. Bridged a track, didn't see it earlier. :S
