converting Pronto or LIRC codes

Post by troxy »

This topic was brought up once before, but more as a side-note than a dedicated thread.

Would anyone happen to know about the Philips Pronto code format or methods of converting to/from the TV-B-Gone format?

iR Shell for the BANNED uses the pronto format, so it doesn't seem like it would be too complicated.

There is quite a collection out there, e.g. http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/codes/, that would be quite useful. Here's an example, for the lazy ;)

Code: Select all

TITLE=samsung hlnserieshdtv
R_CROSS=Power Off
0000 006d 0000 0022 00ac 00ac 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040
0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040
0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015
0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040
0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040
0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0689
It seems that they're just bit patterns being sent to the IR LED, but how is a single remote able to modulate at such a variety of frequencies?

LIRC also has a sizable collection of codes, which could also be helpful.

The best I can do regarding the former is the following:
