LPC810 - Can it drive a piezo buzzer?

Post by LiverpoolFC »

Hi,

Can the LPC810 drive the Adafruit piezo buzzer (PS1240, http://www.adafruit.com/products/160) without an audio amplifier? I need to get at least the 70 dBA @ 10cm (3Vpp, 4kHz) given in the datasheet.

Thanks,

LFC

It should be able to do that. To get the highest sound level, drive it with a 4KHz square wave on 2 pins 180 degrees out of phase.
