Teensy & ARM NOOB

I am a solid C/C++ coder and quite comfortable with PIC development. I just purchased a teensy 3.1 to start playing around with ARM development.

I am curious—what are folks using for development tool chain?

I prefer Macs; however, I have an ancient Win XP ( until XP's death in April ) laptop.

I also have a bus pirate? Anyone use that to program?
