Resistive Touch Screen to USB Mouse Controller - AR1100

Post by spartan_h45 »

When I first plugged in my AR1100 it acted just as it was supposed to, and showed up as a mouse. The moment I plugged in my touchscreen to calibrate it, it began registering several hundred mouse clicks opening multiple applications simultaneously on my computer. Is there something that i need to do prior to calibrating my touchscreen that I may have overlooked? Is this a common problem, or is it possible that I may have a defective board?

Make sure that the touchscreen FPC is firmly seated in the connector. Also, plug in the touch screen before powering the AR1100. See if any of that helps.

It seems to not be making a difference.I also tried using a different touchscreen controller thinking that maybe the screen overlay itself was damaged, but it works with the other controller.

OK - that was my next question. But the touch screen is working, so let's replace the AR1100. Please email [email protected] with a link to this thread for a replacement
