Hey guys, for a school project i need to write a simple android app, and control 2 alternating lights and make them blink. My plan was to use arduino, but while browsing on the site i found the IOIO Mint (http://www.adafruit.com/products/885) wich seems to simplyfy the process. i know i need an inverter to power an EL WIRE/TAPE and im clueless on whats next. Can i power an EL aplication with the IOIO + inverter? Would something like thise work? ( its for an adruino) , it looks like he is using a 3.3v source to power the board and the wire.
And to power two El tapes i would need a dedicated inverter , or is there a way to only use one and still be able to alternate them?
I'm sorry if im not clear , english is not my first langauage.
Thanks!
EL TAPE + IOIO?

Re: EL TAPE + IOIO?
You could use a single inverter if you put a reed relay between the inverter and each EL tape. It would also be easier to control reed relays from a device like a IOIO.
These: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Cot ... aJD404c%3d
only need about 10mA @ 5v to close the switch, and the switch can handle up to 200v.
