Wireless Arduino programming

I have two Xbee24-ZB and I want replicated the steps in the post http://www.ladyada.net/make/xbee/arduino.html to Wireless Arduino programming.
I cannot program because the receiver Xbee24-ZB don't have IU ( I/O Output enable ) and IA ( I/O Input Address )

The tutorial was written for the series 1 xbees and probably won't work without modification. Both Rob Faludi and Parallax work with other xbees and probably you could find help on their sites.
