LCD Brightness

Post by inventorgreg »

Hello,

We have wired up an Arduino UNO to a TC1602A-01T LCD per the tutorial and loaded the "Hello World" sketch. The sketch runs but the text displayed on the LCD is very hard to see no matter the setting on the pot. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Greg L C

Can you check the voltage between LCD pin 3 and ground. You should be able to vary this voltage from 0 to 5 V with the pot. The correct voltage will be less than 1 Volt unless you have a very unusual LCD.

I assume that you have connected the backlight, otherwise try this first.
