Adafruit Fingerprint

Post by alara »

Good morning,

About Adafruit Fingerprint Sensor, if I have 3 different modules with 3 different Arduinos, is there a way to register all users in 1 sensor and share the database with the other 2 sensors (by means of a backup or something like that) ?

Best regards and thanks in advance.

you can try using the windows software and poke around, but we dont think its possible - each one needs to be enrolled on its own

Hi
I Got the FIM5360,and want to know how can I see if the optical modul is On ( with Power)
I am giving the Module 5V & Ground, on J2 ,and RX and TX ( as RS232)
I can see green led on on the DSP module ( 5360) ,but the optical modul which is connected to if with flat thin cable,
do not give any sign of life.
Does there is a way or Led to see if it is On ??

Continue...
Obviously , it is 3.3V for the module ( Not 5 )
But I can't see any sign that the optical module is alive.
so if I am connecting with the Window program SFG demo, or GPIO2 ( Pin 6 ) registration
or the LADYADA program to enrol it from the Arduino ,it is not responding
and I can't see if there is a Power into the Optical Module at all.
Is there is a Led that should be ON normally ?
Thanks in advance
Shimon

We don't support the FIM5360 at Adafruit, but maybe someone else has an idea?
