My upcoming project requires significant Python communication and I'm a little stuck. All of the tutorials I've read online deal with basic concepts like single byte messages and while I understand that, I need to create a solution that is more extensive. I'll essentially be streaming sensor inputs over Serial, for display and processing, and I've never really been able to communicate properly with different ASCII characters and formatting.
Does anyone know any good books or tutorials or anything that goes over these kind of examples? Right now I'm just trying to build an "echo" system that returns whatever data I stream it, but it doesn't seem to have the correct datatype.
